Balancing motherhood while trying to maintain a piece of ourselves is a challenge. We are dedicated mothers, loving partners, good friends, and hard workers, but sometimes life is just hard.
While trying to be everything for everyone, we find ourselves struggling with painful feelings of stress, sadness, overwhelm, anxiety, and anger. We may tell ourselves that if we could just be a better partner, mom, employee, friend, or daughter, life would be easier.
Maybe you’re wondering, “is life supposed to be this hard or is something wrong with me? Am I broken?” Or maybe you’re pretty certain you’re destined to live an empty life, focusing on everyone else’s needs, and putting yourself last. Because, isn’t that what we do as mothers? (Spoiler alert.. It doesn’t have to be this way!)
